UK Team Gold at 2007 EAME Championships

The UK Wakeboard team is due to return from South Africa triumphant after winning team gold and 9 individual medals. Team manager Graham Creedy reports on the success and the numerous individual golds from riders such as Marc Rossiter, Nick Davies and Nicola Butler.

Great news from the 2007 EAME Wakeboard Championships from the 13th to 17th of February 2008, which took place at The Emerald Casino Resort, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Team GB took it's highest ever collection of Gold medals and EAME Titles in the following divisions:

Team: Great Britain, Gold Medal

Open Men: Marc Rossiter, Gold Medal

Open Men: Dan Nott:, Bronze Medal

Open Women: Nicola Butler, Gold Medal

Junior Men: Nick Davies, Gold Medal

Junior Men: Johnny Carne, Bronze medal

Boys: Sam Weinstein, Gold Medal

Boys: Freddie Carter, Bronze Medal

Masters: Stu Mackie, Silver Medal

Trolls: (Groms) William Young, Bronze Medal

Out of the eight EAME Title gold medals available to be won at the event the British Team took five of them and total medal count of 9 medals.

AA superb results even considering the event taking part during our closed season.
