2008 Nationals Day 1 Qualifiers

Saturday saw windy conditions but the rain stayed away to allow all divisions to compete.

First up was Open Ladies with Charlote Bryant, Sam Filsell, Sophie Cordery and Sarah Kingdom going thru to the finals.

Next division was the Pro Ladies qualifying with Kath Moore taking the win with Robbie Rendo second and Will Christien third. All 6 ladies proceed to the Pro final.

Pro Men rode next with Dan Nott, Johny Carne, James Young, and Sam Carne qualifying for the finals.

Open Men saw Sam Weinstein, James Walker, Steve Dyer and Jack Hammersley making the cut for Sunday.

Last up on wakeboards were the Masters Division with Eban Escott qualifying first with Anthony Miller 2nd and Pual Burgess 3rd. All men in the masters go forward to the final.

Wakeskating rounded off the day with the wind picking up providing tough conditions for the skaters. Taylor Dell rode well to take 3rd place, with Terry Hannam winning 2nd. In1st place Matt Crowhurst pulled off some large wake to wake ollies, shovits and grabs to become the 2008 UK National Wakeskate Champion.
