[Press Release, 14th March 2008, MasterCraft GB Rider League]

For 2008 the MasterCraft Rider League Tour is back. In conjunction with Wakeboard UK this year sees the tour expanding once more. Taking in a total of 6 stops in the North of England, starting on 26th April at Calmwater Bay in Knaresborough.

Once again the MasterCraft X-2 is the choice boat for these events and there have been a few changes for this season. The open men and masters’ men categories are now being split into 2 divisions each due to demand for entries.

There will be 30 competitors at each stop and once again Pro judges will be on hand to offer advice during the practice set, and to go out and rip up the water in demo expression session.

Many of the riders who entered Rider League over the last 2 seasons will not only be back competing in this years, but are also entering other high profile wakeboard events which is great to see.

Over the weekend of 12th 13th July we will see 2 stops happen. The first to be held at 2006 host site Welton in East Yorkshire, with prize giving and party to take place at Billabong lake on the Saturday night and competition on the Sunday. So a great weekend planned there.

Also big news for this year, is Rider League will be a inaugural part of the Conwy Maritime Festival celebrations. Over the first weekend ofAugust, the 5th stop of Rider League will be held along the promenade of the Conwy river, North Wales, where 4000 spectators will get a chance to see what wakeboarding is all about, then with a come and try it session day planned for the Sunday, it’s definitely another day planned for your calendar.

So anyone wishing to help out, participate or just come and view the action please keep logged onto www.mastercraft.co.uk for up to the date information or contact us on 01977 674635. We look forward to seeing you there.
