Wakestock Announces Additional Venue at Blenheim Palace

Following a whole host of rumours flying round the world of wake, the organisors of Wakestock can now confirm that in 2008 there will be 2 Wakestocks. The first will be held at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire on the dates 27th – 29th June. And the second will be the original event at Abersoch, Cardigan Bay, North Wales held the following weekend starting 4th July.
The 2 venues will hold separate competitions with increased prize money to total £15,000. The longer water time will mean a bigger international field of riders and an additional qualifying day. Plans are already in place to construct a very clever new pool gap set up and you can expect big names in amongst the music line-up of the industries finest bands and DJ’s.
It’s an exciting prospect that there will be back to back weekends of the world’s best wakeboarders competing in 2 stunning locations for Europe’s biggest event.
